Jamal Journey

The first book was Jamal's Journey which is written and illustrated by the amazing Michael foreman. This is the story of love, friendship, fear and adventure! Jamal is a baby camel who walks in a caravan with his head held high, but what happens when there's a storm and Jamal separates from his fellow caravan members? How does he find them again?

 .

What we love: We love this simply illustrated book which brings out the true colours of the story to life. Michael foreman's endearing story melts everyone's heart

Grandmas from Mars by Michelle Robinson

Grandmas
The second book for the little ones is about a hilarious interplanetary mix up! Grandmas from Mars by Michelle Robinson is about how green aliens dress up as cuddly grandmas and wreak havoc on Earth!

 .

What we love: We absolutely love the combination of the two elements. It's one thing to say that Grandma's from an entirely different era, but a different planet? That's just madness!

 .

What kids will love: Kids will also love the combination of the two aspects, and of course they will roll on the floor laughing with the kind of eclectic items that these Grandmas pull out of their handbags.

 .

The second age group between 7 and 8 got two equally fabulous books. Here are Petu and Padma!

Petu Pumpkin, Tiffin Thief by Arundhati Venkatesh.
